Knitting...knitting...knitting...

Lately I've been doing projects that only take a couple days to finish...but this week I've decided to take on something that is going to take me a while longer. I started a baby blanket for my sister who is due in April.  I started out with a certain pattern in mind...and then a few inches in decided to scrap the  pattern and just wing it. We'll see how it goes.

Finally!! Success!!

*Stupid* Baby Booties

I finished Gf's hat the other day (yay!) and decided to start working on baby stuff for my Sister who is havin a baby. I googled for a couple hours for patterns and then decided to start with socks/booties.

I've been on a crochet kick lately, so decided to crochet the socks/booties. I found a cute pattern... but the pattern was for 6-12 month and I wanted a pair for newborn...so I changed the pattern a little bit. 

First sock turned out great! Then I moved on to the next sock.... not so great. I don't know where I messed up...but it turned out all kinds of jacked up.

So I decided to try a different pattern. I have started (and then ripped apart) FIVE different times. FIVE different patterns.

Ugh! I just want to crochet a simple set of baby booties/socks.  Is that really too much to ask for?

Maybe I should have stuck to making hats....

The quest for the perfect Beanie pattern.

Ok. So I have had a helluva time finding (and not messing up) a beanie for Gf. I've made like four so far in my attempt to make the perfect beanie. I'm starting to believe that there is no such thing. I keep finding that I don't have the right size needles/yarn to make it the right size, or the pattern is written for a smaller head or bigger. I know that it shouldn't be this hard to modify a pattern to fit...but I keep missing the right combination.

So here is attempt number five...

This is a crochet beanie pattern that I found on the internet...pretty simple single crochet pattern... hopefully this time I GET IT RIGHT!

I have been so lazy. LOL.

I swear I'm going to knit all day, I am GOING  to FINISH this scarf today!


Once this scarf is finished...then it's on to one more hat for Gf (that I swear is going to fit her this time) then a few pairs of scrap socks!
